Mark Lee – the actor who portrayed young Archy Hamilton alongside Mel Gibson in Peter Weir’s 1981 classic Australian movie Gallipoli – pieces together personal histories, discovering the stories behind some of the names and men commemorated on WW1 memorials around the country. In doing so, he discovers how their families and the Australian community as a whole was impacted at the time and continues to be touched by the Great War.
